Gallia Milan
The Albergo Gallia occupies a unique place in the evolution
of hotels in Milan. Opened in the early 1930s the hotel quickly established
itself as the premier hotel destination in Milan becoming synonymous with the
cultural evolution of the city.
The Client aspires to refurbish the whole hotel property.
The hotel refurbishment project will be developed on the whole city block on
the west side of Piazza Duca d’Aosta overlooking this main square immediately
adjacent to Milano Central Station, with Via Fabio Filzi to its rear.
The new hotel will
occupy the 1930s footprint, the ‘Pirelli Wing’ built as a hotel extension in
the 1950s, and two other buildings on via Fabio Filzi.
The
Designs are nearing completion and the Hotel is set to open in November 2012
